We are very excited to be part of Creating Joy. In an age and culture where time for self and time for joy is considered to be an indulgence we need more than ever to create joy as a deliberate pastime. Well, look no further, here we cultivate joy for you take home- with new hobbies, new friends, new memories and new ways of thinking. You can find tickets right at the bottom of this page. Creating Joy is a joy based mini fest/ retreat in a 22 acre woodland . Through a variety of mediums you are invited to participate in activities that stimulate your creative juices and bring joy to your soul. So, what will we be doing? Creating joy through crafting Creating joy through connecting with the higher self Creating joy through expression Creating joy through healing Creating joy through community and performance As well as a heart full of joy, you take home your crafts - an item of jewellery, a piece of felt craftwork, a dream catcher, a piece of pebble art, a piece of acrylic artwork - and all materials are included in the price. That is just the crafting workshops - which are actually worth more than the ticket price alone. The camping experience is quite a wild camping one (aren't all the best camping experienced wild). We have toilets/ washing up facilities but no showers for campers- but hey it's only one weekend- feel the joy of not giving a damn and having an excuse, lol. The site is accessible to a limited amount of camper vans. I have had my 7.5 ton beastie in the woods - but I'm fearless, lol, and I'm not precious about bumps and scrapes. It's a steep incline into the wood so any vehicle with a low chassis and overhang at the back may have problems with access. Please enquire before booking overnight camping. There are also a limited amount of basic 5 person camping pods and a not as basic cabin for 3. Pods £25 for pod +6 per person. Cabin in the woods £40. Ticket price on top of accommodation fee must be purchased also. (note only 1 pod for 5 remaining 6/08/17) Children are welcome. They must be supervised at all times and care where you camp should be taken as some areas of the woodland could be potentially hazardous. The crew will be happy to advise you on suitable camping areas. If you have mobility issues and would like to discuss whether you could access the site and workshops please contact us. It is a woodland setting but as far as woodland go it's very accessible. We will do our utmost to accomodate you. If you would like to know more please IM or email team@followingthejoy.com Like our followingthejoy facebook page @ www.facebook.com/andreaandgerry/ The lovely Jon and Joe will be performing for us. Live music on Friday and Saturday evening. |
